VBS-Son Rock Kids Camp!

We are behind in posting summer pics because we are trying to have as much fun as possible before the baby arrives-not that it won't be fun after she arrives:) This is the first day of Son Rock Kids Camp. It was a VBS program we attended a couple of weeks ago at another church. This was our second year attending since they took 2 year olds last year. This year in the three's class Amanda did a lot more and had a blast. She loved the songs, her teachers, and the activities and learned a lot about God!

The first day of learning all the new songs:)

After camp we celebrated lunch out at our favorite place for subs:) Then we ran to our cooking class. She made worm dessert, and apple crisp and ate them both like she hadn't eaten all day! Contrary to what she tells her dad, I do feed her lunch:) She has been telling her dad that she is "starving because mommy didn't feed her all day" They must not have talked about lying at VBS:)

Day 2 of VBS-we had to take pics daily because you know me:)

Day three-that's her teacher in the pic-she loved her!

Day four they had a program that night for the parents. She did a verse and sang a song:) It was so cute but the pics aren't that great since they were far away.... This was one of the stations in her classroom-cute idea:)

This was the coloring station-glad to see other moms taking pics
Amanda loved watching the other kids sing at the program too and clapped for her friends. We had 7 different family friends we know attend this week so it was nice to see familiar faces and we ran into an old neighbor which was delightful.

Saying the verse with motions:)

Yes, that would be my daughter waving from stage-she hasn't learned not to do that just yet:) Maybe next year?

This is the music director of VBS and women's director- she spent some time with me last summer and gave me a great book to read, and some awesome advice. She remembered us from last year down to the tiny detail that Amanda missed the last day since she had to go to the ER the night before for her "last" (we pray) breathing episode, we think she has outgrown that since it's been a year. We are sure praying so!

Friday they had the moon bounce train

Fishing was one of the stations in her classroom, they also had a huge dollhouse that Amanda gravitated to daily:) She was upset though since one of the daddy figurines in the dollhouse didn't have a leg and I heard about it all week. I told her someone probably broke it off accidentally.

They rented this big moon bounce also but she claims she didn't go on it since the "big kids took all the time up" Who knows???????????

Leaving the last day to go out to lunch-this is the face she made when I asked her how she liked her week at Son Rock Kids Camp:)

I love how they used the rope to get the kids from activity to activity The last day! Amanda came home with all kinds of goodies in a backpack that she made herself:) We feel so blessed to be welcomed at a VBS with open arms even though we attend another church. We love the way this church really reaches out to our community and are so happy they love us!

We celebrated lunch out on Friday and Amanda made the letter J with her straw wrapper and was quite excited about it as you can see. I asked her what J stood for and she "Jesus"

Hubby and I are thrilled with all she learned this week. She told us one bible story that I know we have not taught her yet and remembered a lot of the details. We are so thankful for those who help us teach our little girl about the bible! We try our best to teach her but it is so nice to have others help teach her along side us because we can't do it alone!
