The Saturday before Easter our church holds an "egg-citing" annual Easter egg hunt and breakfast. The pastors all cook the breakfast and it was very yummy! This was only our second time going so it is a fairly new Easter tradition for us!

After the families eat, there are several crafts for the kids to do.

Amelia remembered the balloons from last year and asked for a heart bracelet balloon. The church takes balloon making for the kids very serious and even holds a balloon training! ha I didn't go because there is no way I could make anything out of a balloon trust me, I have tried! It is harder than it looks!
When we went back to a family dinner a few weeks later at church......she wanted to go get a balloon. I guess she thinks every time we eat at the church, she needs to have a balloon!
My very intense artist once again being intense artist!

It is amazing to me how happy a balloon can make a child! I just heard there is a helium shortage......not sure if it is true or not but I just might have to stock up if it is true!

The egg hunts are held at the same time. Amelia went with the younger kids and Amanda went with the older kids. Last year, I went with Amelia and took pics, so this year I went with Amanda and took pics!
The pastors stuffed the eggs for us with stickers, toys and of course candies. I love how involved they are all, even with the little things like stuffing eggs!

The church has a bunch of land behind it that I had never actually been to. It was a great place to hide eggs!

I wonder if she will still think this is fun next year? She is growing up sooo fast!

OK mom, the hunt is over now, so put the camera away!

Amelia had a blast finding eggs!

Afterwards, the girls opened their eggs and gave the eggs back so they could use them next year. This wasn't mandatory but sure was nice! I can't stand dealing with all the plastic eggs lying around after Easter so I was thrilled!

That night we decided to try a restaurant that we have never been to but have recently heard raves about from three different friends. The food was delicious!!

We really enjoyed our nice family dinner out. We usually go out before the crowd hits so we get better service and can get baths and stuff ready for church the next day. If we had waited an hour, a nanny arrives at this restaurant and watches the kids, feeds them etc in another room for you so the hubby and wife could have a date out of it.....We really like to eat as a family but this might be a fun thing to try some day when those precious girls needs some time away from their mean parents! It was the perfect ending to a nice family day!
