White House Egg Roll 2012

I am starting to wondering if I will ever finish this....
Amelia loves Mr.Potato Head  but got shy when it was time for a picture. Amanda asked me if Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head were going to have a baby! She then told me she thought they should have a hole in Mrs. Potato Head's tummy to store a baby Potato Head. I told her it was a great idea for a new toy and will apply for patent right away! ha ha

Elmo was there but we figured we could see him at Sesame Place so we didn't wait in line for him.

We did wait in line for this guy but have no idea who it is?

The lines were mostly short and very quick. Amelia loves Dora and of course the line was the longest for her....but once she got up there.........
she ran away from Dora and her friend. I love the facial expression she is making! We get this face a lot when she gets shy.

Finally the Egg Roll. The line went super fast for this.......Amelia cheated and started before everyone else.

Amelia finished last but didn't notice so don't tell her! President Obama was so proud of her he stayed in his office with Mr. Economics. I don't know why since my six year knows more about money than that guy does!

We had a nice opportunity for a family picture. Unfortunately, you have to enter from the sides of the egg and it was white and lower than I realized so I bumped the top of my noggin. It hurt so bad and I felt soooo stupid. I wish I could say that it knocked some sense into me but Amelia will tell it didn't because a few days later she said, "Mommy you ran into the house!" I didn't run into the house but did accidentally run into the garage again. I am totally blaming the White House incident for it!

Good bye Mr. President, we had a fun time at your house today and can't wait to come back next year when we have a new President!

The New President!

Several of the Disney singers were there from various shows doing concerts and they were pretty good.

Amanda loved the fountain......

Amelia loved jumping and dancing on stage.

The dancing sisters.

On the way out they gave us our eggs to keep and the first dog Bo signed it. (Just another sign that it is time to elect a New President that has time to sign the eggs and doesn't get his dog to do it for him.)

The girls getting their eggs and a ton of jelly bellies, the gal was too generous and gave us a stash. What a wonderful day and experience. Everyone was really wonderful and so happy there!

The only downer of the day was that it wore Amanda out and she had to be carried. Her foot fell into a small hole and it hurt to walk. She's fine now and even waking up on her own in the mornings and appears to be refreshed and happy. You cannot even hear her snoring and she appears to be breathing all night long. She told us she ready for her dad to stop monitoring her all night! ha ha (Little does she know we will be monitoring her for life!)

More White House Egg roll fun!

I loved looking at the White House. I think it is such a pretty house! I think the back of it is so much prettier than the front which is usually the opposite of most homes. The trees are so pretty there and the grass so nice and green. Such an elegant place, thanks to all of the generous tax donations they get to keep it up. Amanda is ready to move in!

Not sure if this is really true......but apparently this is the window of one of the first daughters, what a neat place to live for four years.

The beautiful garden......this would be a nice place for a wedding. I am surprised that more of the first kids don't get married here.

The President in there working hard to devise a plan on how to finish up stealing from the hard working wealthy to give to those who want to sit back and have the "government" pay for everything! I really wonder sometimes if those people realize that the government gets their money from the tax payers.

I have heard sooo many people say "the government should pay for this" and when you mention higher taxes they say, "no, the government should pay for it!" I sure hope I can teach my kids that if you don't work, you don't eat!

FYI- I do respect the President and I even pray for him, I especially pray for him to not get four more years........I think he is a likable guy, I just think I would like him a whole lot more if he lived in Chicago!
The tents that the workers changed into the various characters of the day! There were alot of different Disney Characters there.

For some reason I felt like this guy was staring at me the whole time I was taking pictures........The guns they carry were huge! That shocked me since a lot of Democrats are pushing for tougher gun laws....I guess they think it is OK to take our guns away so we cannot protect ourselves since our tax dollars are paying for them to be protected with their Secret Service (for at least ten years outta office) and it is more than OK for them to have their big guns? So I guess they think we are not as important as they are?

What a major contradiction but then most liberals have a tendency to contradict themselves I have noticed. Yes, I know a few liberals unfortunately!

President Obama had just finished up a meeting with Hillary Clinton and his next meeting was with Mr. Economics who was probably going to give him more poor advice on how to fix the economy. I tried to take pics to see inside the Oval Office but I think they have something on all the White House windows to keep nosy people like me from looking in and taking pics!

I thought this would be a good scrapbook picture but it was hard to get Mia to look.......

Finally a pic that she is at least looking at the camera, no smile of course but at least we got a look!

There were several cooking demonstrations and arts and crafts set up.

More pretty views, it was such a nice day. It may look like there is no security insight but I saw some secret service hiding in the bushes.....what a fun job!

The Egg Roll took place right here next to the speaker.
We didn't make it to the basketball court but got to see part of it. The girls playground. I wonder how much they really use this.
Next  up......the whole reason we went...THE ROLL!
