April- My sweet cubbie!

The last cubby class was a sad one for Amelia and I! We enjoyed attending cubbies every Sunday night for two years! I really love this age and really had a great time each week. We had fun working together with a team of wonderful parents! Amelia had cubbie for the last night so she got to bring snack only we were having a party that night so everyone was bringing something too. So we wanted to do something special. So we decided to make our famous Cubby bear cookies hubby invented when Amanda was in cubbies and he was the leader for her class. We had a blast making them and then wrapped them and made little treat bags for the kids to take home.

Amelia helped me make 20 cubby bags over the course of a couple of weeks. She worked soooo hard gluing everything together. I was so proud of her.

This time we moved our project into the dining room!! Most of our projects our in the living room! Poor daddy never knows if he is going to come home to prep for a French party with an Eiffel tower in the living room, or beach balls for a pool party, or teacher appreciation centerpieces, etc he just never knows!

Amelia's last time having cubbie bear! Little did she know the following week I had bought her a cubbie bear of her for a graduation gift from cubbies! She was so surprised but there really was something magical about bringing home cubbie bear home a couple of times a year and writing in the journal and then reading it to the class. That is why I waited until cubbies was over to give her a cubby bear of her own! I didn't want to take away the magic! ha

Getting ready for our last night happened to be crazy hair night as well!

Hubby really gets into his role of being a Sparks leader at Awana! He is like a big kid and enjoys teaching children to hide God's word in their little hearts! Man I am so blessed to be married to this Godly man!

Our last night of cubbies before the award ceremony!
I am thrilled with how much this girl grew in so many ways the past couple of years. She went from hardly talking to anyone to talking a little to everyone. I love her sensitive personality she really cares so much about others and so often she will say, "Oh, I am so sad for __________ their feelings were hurt by_______ ." She oozes with compassion for others and I love it!

Family photo shoot- Turks trip /scrapbooking 7

One evening we did a photo shoot with a fabulous photographer. We hadn't planned on doing this since we didn't even know about it ahead of time so we had to try and color coordinate the best we could with what we brought on the trip. I was pleased with how the colors turned out!

Amelia was a real ham throughout the session!
