Being the little sis pays off sometimes, especially at parties! Amanda's friend had a birthday pool party this week and invited the whole family. Amelia loved it and I had a great time hanging out with my friends. It is nice that we are going through the same feelings as we prepare to send our girls off to first grade!
Amanda and her sweet friends, I love these girls and the nice benefit of their friendships have been the friendships that I have formed with the moms. We are all going to different schools this year, but are hoping to stay connected through play dates, coffee dates, and bible club. It is harder to maintain friendships once you aren't running in the same circle, but these sweet friendships are worth going out of the way to maintain.
Amelia took her sister's shoes and walked around the deck. This pool was soooo nice with cool slides, and a nice deck. One of the nicest pools in the area that I have been to.
Amelia was sitting next to me when we were eating and she said, "I don't want to hangout with you mom!"
She wanted to go over and eat with Amanda and her friends and Amanda had told me she wanted to "hangout with her friends" I guess I am no longer cool to hang out with!!!!!!! I thought this started much later in life?
