Fun time Friday!

Amanda loved the model of the Earth because it sprayed water out and she loved drinking it. They had all of the planets there with their names on them. There was a man there with his son who appeared to be 7 or 8ish and the father said,"now let's look at all of the planets before we go to the spray area" I was thinking.......Give the kid a break! He is at a spray park let him play! It wasn't five minutes later when my daughter noticed Neptune and asked, "what's that word on that ball mommy?" Opps! I explained the planets to her and that we live on the Earth and she replied,"I was drinking out of the planet Earth!"

I love my cuz! Don't we look cute in our matching outfits! Oh, to have twins! (just kidding God)

You have heard of "Where's Waldo?" but "Where's Amanda?"

Wow, what a fun Friday we had! Our friend invited us to a place we have not been before called a Sprinker Park. We are suppose to meet up with a few other families but due to sicknesss and just life, it ended up being just us and one other familiy. We still had a lot of fun and made new friends, although Amanda was still asking last night if her friend that couldn't make it was all better now! She showed a lot of concern throughout the day regarding her sick friend which I thought was so sweet!

We realized on the way home from the park that it was within blocks of our favorite bakery, (they made both my sister's and my wedding cake) so we stopped there on the way home so Amanda could pick out a favorite cookie. She chose a blue soccor ball cookie over the ladybug, alligator, cookie monster, and just about anything else you could want. I am not sure why other than she remembers back to May when she played with soccer with of the boys in town visiting and how she won because she would just pick the ball up when it was near her.

Last night, Amanda was "dropped off" at mammaw and pappaws house to play. She is contantly asking me to "drop me off and you leave mom" at their house. She loves to play there so much that she informed me just yesterday she was going to have a "princess party at their house" ha! She just went to a birthday party last weekend so she is back to talking about her birthday party now. (This happens after attending birthday parties and as you have read she has been to her several lately.)

The most exciting thing about getting dropped off last night was that her cousins had been dropped of there earlier for the night so she had even more playmates to play with. She told me she would be "extra extra good" since mammaw and pappaw would have a 4 year old, 2 year old and a 10 month old to watch for the night. Apparently, she was very good but she always is at their house..........ummm..........what are we doing wrong at our house?(don't answer that one)

My sweetheart and I headed out to see the new Batman movie, yes our second date night in a week! That is a true record and one we will continue to try and break! We enjoyed the movie although, I did think it was a lot more violent than it needed to be and it was sad to see Heath Ledger and know these could have been good times for him right now if only......We came back to M/P house and found the girls eating homemade icecream and cake at a very late hour of the night! (Only at Mammaw/Pappaw's house!) It made me reflect back to that red ruby candy dish at Grandma's, we didn't have a candy dish at our house so it was a special thing to have as much candy as we wanted from that dish at Grandma's. That's the way it should be at Grandma's though, that is why I have heard being a grandparent is easier than being a parent.......we shall see someday if my daughter has time for a family with her job as president it may be tricky!
