Amanda's school hosted a jump rope champion one night for a fun family night. She has won several world championships for jump roping and has appeared on all of the morning and late night shows too. Who knew? She did all kinds of tricks with a jump rope and it was really amazing to watch! She was sooo good and soooo nice to the kids.
She broke the kids into groups to perform with her. Amanda loved it! Hubby was called to be a volunteer in front of everyone! Poor guy, he is always picked! It happened twice at Disney, it happens basically everywhere. There is something about him that just makes him get picked. I participated as well and was one of the front runners in jumping roping for a period of time....but some of those other parents won because they must have been at home practicing all week.
Amelia enjoyed it too!
This little girl helped Amelia. I love how sweet the other children are to one another at this school. The school tries to promote good citizenship and the kids are really nice to one another. Amanda has yet to come home and complain about someone being mean to her etc, because it is not tolerated. This is something I really appreciate in these days where bullying is so popular!
The school served a sub dinner and it was just a nice time for our family to be together, be active, and enjoy fellowship with the other families!
