Celebrating Valentine's day family style:)

We celebrated Valentine's day as a family starting off by going to a morning pancake breakfast with our moms group. Amanda enjoyed decorating cookies, making a couple of crafts, and playing with her pancakes. She is not much of a breakfast eater but makes up for it at lunch and dinner.

Daddy enjoyed spending special time helping Amanda especially since he has been working a lot of "extra hours" at the office this week. One night he came in and Amanda said, "Daddy you missed dinner!" ha She is so use to him being home but last week was just one of those working weeks. We are just counting our blessings that he is usually home for dinner though!
Daddy had some beautiful roses delivered for mommy and took her shopping after the breakfast for something beautiful to wear around her neck and in her ears. Amanda says, "daddy rocks" and I couldn't agree more:) We spent the rest of the evening in together as a family since we have a date night scheduled to go to our favorite "special events restaurant" and to see a basketball game. Hopefully, after this weekend we should have enough points for daddy to get his free lobster for his birthday! If not, I will just have to make him one at home! (ha ha that will NEVER happen) I saw someone cook a lobster once and had to leave the room. That is probably why I don't like it today, hearing it scream for its life just made me like chicken all the more.
