Happy New Year/ Snow/Great Wolf Lodge Trip /January 2014

January came in with much excitement at our house. We continued our family tradition of spending New Year's Eve together as a family and eating Fondue for dinner. We started with our cheese fondue and finished up with chocolate! Hubby did a fabulous job of organizing this as usual.

We started filling in our calendar and it was already way too busy on New Year's Eve night!

Amelia became very helpful and developed a love for emptying and filling the dishwasher which we hope continues!

We got more snow! Amelia enjoyed it so much and we had several snow days to enjoy but it was record temperature cold in the single digits many days so Amelia just didn't enjoy it quite as much.

Making snow angels are her favorite thing to do in the snow!

The snow was deep and I loved each storm and so did Amelia!

Our healthy snowman!

We took a trip to Great Wolf Lodge with our friends from church for a family retreat. There were over 100 of us and we met for worship on Sunday and breakfast and dinner together on Saturday. The rest of the time we were at the water park, bowling, or in the arcade. We had such a great time and our children's pastor and our pastor to families did a fabulous job of planning and coordinating a wonderful weekend for families!

We had a blast bowling together and are trying to convince daddy to put one of these downstairs!

One of the things I love about Great Wolf Lodge is that they have something new every year! This year they added 3-D films and we loved it!

The girls tried so hard to get me to learn to play deal or no deal but just couldn't win the jackpot! We invited the ladies and moms to our rooms for pedicures and that was fun painting and chatting together!

We finished the weekend with a trip to our favorite barbecue place!

We enjoyed another few snow days the day after we came back from GWL so that was a fun week!

I am so glad the girls still love to play with playdough as I love it too!

Daddy got new glasses and I think he looks rather hot in them!

Amelia started a new variety class with Miss Clair! Amanda had the same teacher and we adore her!

Amelia can now fit into Amanda's old panda outfit. They had matching ones when she was only one!

The extra snow days gave us time to for more playdough fun and snowmen bagel lunches! I treasure my lunch time with my girl!

January was so cold outside but our hearts were so full of love that it stayed nice and warm inside!
